Joseph graduated third of the cohort in 2021 with a Bachelor of Laws Second Class Honours (Upper) from the Singapore University of Social Sciences’ pioneer batch of LLB Students. Joseph is also an Accredited Mediator with the Singapore International Mediation Institute.
Joseph’s areas of practice include family law, criminal defence, civil litigation and dispute resolution. Apart from contentious work, Joseph is also an accredited mediator, and is keen on the amicable resolution of disputes through mediation.
In his first year of practice, Joseph successfully acted as lead counsel in a contentious Originating Application before the General Division of the High Court.
Some of the matters that Joseph had assisted on include matters relating to breaches of directors’ duties, civil fraud, criminal matters, disputes on commercial agreements, minority oppression and shareholders’ disputes, tortious claims, disputes on trust property, and a variety of transactional work.
Prior to completing his law degree, Joseph obtained a Diploma in Law & Management at Temasek Polytechnic in 2009 and worked as a paralegal for 9 years from 2011 to 2020 while concurrently pursuing his law degree.
In his free time, Joseph dreams of his future travels to exotic locations and exploring their local cuisine. Joseph is also a Taekwando black belter (2nd Dan).
